“Wing It”: A Musical About Taking Risks and Taking Flight!

The baby birds are getting bigger and it’s time for them to leave the nest and try to fly. But not this little batch of nesters! They have decided they like their snug little nest and all of the amenities it offers. Why leave home when it’s so nice and safe right here? Through the course of this musical, all of the other birds – including rapping raptors, humming hummingbirds, honking geese and more – will work to convince the babies that eventually everyone has to try to fly and make it on their own. And when you do, you might just soar!

 Session 2: July 16-20, 2018,  9 am – 3 pm

“It’s a Hit”: A Musical of Innings and Winnings!

Celebrate good sportsmanship, teamwork, problem solving and learning how to win and lose with dignity and class! A new girl in town has joined the boys baseball team. No problem. But wait! She wants to be the pitcher? That has never been done before, at least in this town! Through five innings, the cast gets to play the parts of many favorite baseball players throughout history, and they learn how to be true All-Stars whether the score shows a win or loss.

“Pirates: The Musical”

“We’re off to sail the rollicking sea, pirates all are we!” But ARRRR, and shiver me timbers! There’s a stowaway on board! Perhaps the King of the High “Cs” will know what to do. Join this salty crew of colorful scallywags when Bluebeard, Yellowbeard, Whitebeard, Purplebeard – well, you get the picture – along with the No Beards hoist the Jolly Roger and set sail for a mighty adventure.

“Project Fairytale”

Do you like to make up songs, design your own set, or write your own stories?  “Project Fairytale” is a “Do-It-Yourself” week at Kate’s Camp where campers will create their own show around an already existing fairy tale or one that we make up ourselves!  With the help of professional musicians, dancers and artists, children in groups of 10-15 will create a show from start to finish – script, songs, dances and set –  and then present it for family and friends on Friday the week of camp.  Come let your own personal brand of creativity shine!
